Bridges

The design standards for this project adhere to several key guidelines and specifications. These include the “Manual of Standard & Specifications for two-laning of State Highways (IRC: SP:73-2007)” and the “Specification for Road and Bridge Work” by the Government of India’s Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH). Additionally, the project complies with various relevant standards set by the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) and the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Furthermore, the project considers the “Geometric Design Standards for Highways” published by the Ministry of Construction, Public Works, as a point of reference for best practices in highway design. While design standards from other regions are reviewed for comparative purposes, the project primarily adopts Indian Standards to ensure consistency and compliance with national regulations and requirements. This approach ensures that the design of the project meets the highest quality and safety standards set by the relevant authorities.
